PARIS VIDEO / PROFESSIONAL FILMMAKER
My path to filmmaking started in 2009 when I enrolled in a photography course in Saint-Petersbourg. I worked as a professional photographer for a couple of years while, in parallel, studying the theory and history of cinema at the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences (Smolny College), where we closely collaborated with professors from Bard College in New York City.
For years I dreamt of one day transitioning to professional video and getting hired to capture live events in motion pictures through my own interpretation and story-telling.
Alas, my dreams had been just that. Dreams. That is until 2020 when I relocated to Paris—the birthplace of cinema. I used the relative downtime afforded by the pandemic to take a risk and work on my filmmaking skills. Fast-forward to today, when my life has changed in so many ways. Ha, my camera and gimbal have become loyal daily companions. I get hired to do what I love most: capture the precious emotions of happy people in the City of Light.

what I love about Paris
Paris is an endless oasis of inspiration: my heart still feels like it’s racing every time I see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night. The City of Love is beautiful and oh-so cinematic. Everywhere you look, things feel straight out of a movie: quaint cafés, historical monuments, picturesque streets, and bigger-than-life settings you instantly recognize from Hollywood films.

Ha, that’s a loaded question, but in all sincerity, I’m convinced that women have different and feminine ways of seeing and interpreting things. We pay attention to details and sometimes are less obtrusive than men—notably during getting-ready coverage on your wedding day, in an intimate boudoir, or in tight spaces. People who hire me think of me as a friend; it is about trust, comfort, and knowing our interests are in harmony.
