When you need a private Eiffel Tower rooftop that accommodates 26 family members, complete English-speaking planning, and luxury transport for the entire group, Chantelle Streete makes it happen using exclusive venues like the Peninsula’s Secret Table.

For this July 16, 2025, proposal, Vahe had one requirement: include families and friends without revealing the plan. We secured access to the Secret Table terrace, used L’Oiseau Blanc as cover for drinks, and coordinated staff, musicians, and an experienced photo and video team down to the minute.

As Christina and Vahe stepped onto the rooftop, the violin and harp began “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” The terrace featured white and pink roses with rhododendron; rose petals formed a heart across the floor. Vahe led Christina to the center, delivered his heartfelt proposal speech, presented the diamond ring, and sealed it with a kiss—equal parts passion and poetry.

After the “yes,” both sets of parents joined the couple for family portraits on the rooftop before returning to mingle with guests downstairs. Christina and Vahe remained on the terrace for engagement photos, then moved to the lounge for a champagne toast and private musical performance before rejoining everyone for the celebration. A green Rolls-Royce awaited the couple at the hotel entrance, with Maybach and V-Class vehicles for family, for their transfer to Port Debilly to board Yacht Josephine for a private Seine cruise, followed by dinner at Victoria Paris.

What We Handled: Scope of Planning & Coordination at Peninsula Paris

Access & Venue Coordination We reserved the Secret Table at The Peninsula Paris and worked directly with hotel staff on logistics. Christina and Vahe could reach the rooftop for their private proposal while their guests enjoyed refreshing drinks on L’Oiseau Blanc’s expansive terrace below.

Live Music & Sound Setup Our English-speaking violin and harp duet was positioned for optimal acoustics while staying discreetly out of the main photo perspective. Cue sheets ensured “Can’t Help Falling in Love” began the instant they stepped onto the terrace and played through the proposal, then the duet continued with a custom playlist of additional songs.

Floral Design & Installation The principal setting featured white and pink roses with rhododendron, candles, and elevated arrangements positioned for maximum impact without obstructing Eiffel Tower views. Pink rose petals covered the entire terrace floor, with a heart-shaped centerpiece of white roses marking where Christina and Vahe would stand. Our floral partner, Events in Paris, handled setup and removal.

Photo & Video Coverage: An experienced English-speaking team from our sister company expertly captured the proposal. We coordinated all timing and cultural preferences in advance, ensuring nothing was missed and the couple felt completely comfortable.

Guest Management & Flow L’Oiseau Blanc served as an ideal cover to keep the proposal secret from Christina while families enjoyed drinks. After she said yes, both sets of parents joined for Eiffel Tower portraits. The photography team continued with engagement photos while Christina and Vahe enjoyed a final private concerto from our musicians, sipping well-deserved celebratory champagne before heading down to meet extended family and friends.

Luxury Transport & Evening Plans A stunning green Rolls-Royce waited for the newly engaged couple, with a Maybach for parents and several V-Class Mercedes for guests. We managed the transfer to Port Debilly, where everyone boarded Yacht Josephine for a memorable City of Lights tour, then fine dining at Victoria Paris for the entire party.

FAQs — Planning a Peninsula Paris Secret Table Proposal

How much does a proposal at the Secret Table cost?

Luxury proposal on Peninsula Paris Secret Table rooftop with elaborate white and pink rose arrangements and Eiffel Tower backdrop

Costs vary based on timing and what you envision. Daytime proposals typically start around €3-4k, while evening proposals begin around €5-6k (evenings require professional lighting and include the exceptional 6-course, 2-Michelin star tasting menu from L’Oiseau Blanc, served by your very own private butler under the Parisian night sky).

Key factors that shape your budget: floral luxury level, photography (€300-500), video coverage (€500), master musicians (€375+), champagne selection (from Ruinart to Krug/Dom Pérignon/Salon), plus coordination (€450) or full-service planning (starting €950). We also create hotel suite embellishments, arrange luxury transportation, design personalized macarons, and add countless other custom touches.

For winter proposals: Our heated igloo option offers dazzling tower views when you want that cozy, intimate atmosphere.

Important to know: These costs cover your Secret Table proposal experience and don’t include accommodation. This differs from venues like Shangri-La, where proposals require a one-night minimum suite rental.

We offer both popular packages and fully custom options for different budgets. After a brief conversation about your vision and guest count, we send a detailed proposal showing exactly what’s included—so you can see the Kiss Me in Paris difference and feel confident in your decision.

Budget-conscious alternative: For couples seeking a private Eiffel Tower proposal experience starting around €1,750, explore our Secret Garden rooftop terrace – offering similarly stunning tower views and expert planning in an intimate residential setting.

How far in advance should we book?

The earlier you book, the better your experience will be. Early planning gives us more time to personalize your proposal, creates a stress-free planning journey, ensures greater vendor availability, and often secures lower prices. This becomes even more important during busy seasons: April through October, December 20–January 1, and Valentine’s Day.

That said, as likely the most experienced proposal planning company in the world, Kiss Me in Paris can accommodate even complex requests on remarkably short notice—sometimes with just 24 hours. Our established relationships with Peninsula Paris and exclusive vendors allow us to create exceptional proposals even under tight timelines.

For urgent requests: Super-customization may not be possible, but we can still deliver outstanding results. The key is jumping on a quick call with your planner to make confident decisions and focus on what matters most.

Bottom line: Book early when you can, but don’t let timing stop you from reaching out—we’ve made magic happen on very short notice.

What are the next steps to book?

Chantelle Streete, founder of Kiss Me in Paris Proposals, senior planner for Peninsula Paris Secret Table proposals

Start with a complimentary informational chat with one of our senior planners. This isn’t a free consultation—it’s an opportunity for you to understand our process, get high-level questions answered, and see if we’re a good match for your proposal vision.

If we’re the right fit, you can book us for day-of coordination (starting at €450) or full-service planning (starting at €950 or 15% of total budget).

Once we receive your retainer, we get straight to work: you’ll complete a simple questionnaire about your objectives, style preferences, budget, and partner’s expectations, then we’ll hop on a call to personalize your dream Paris proposal package.

To get started: Contact us with your date window, guest count, and any initial thoughts about music or style preferences.

Do we need to stay at the Peninsula to use the Secret Table?

White vintage car with headlights on outside Shangri-La Paris at blue hour, ready for a chauffeured transfer.

No. The Secret Table can be reserved independently, which appeals to clients who may already have hotel reservations elsewhere or prefer not to book an expensive Eiffel Tower terrace suite at venues like Shangri-La, George V, or Bulgari Hotel Paris.

That said, many of our Peninsula clients do choose to book one of their fabulous hotel suites—it’s just not required for Secret Table access.

For clients staying elsewhere, we’re happy to arrange luxury transportation with English-speaking chauffeurs between your hotel, the Peninsula, and your post-proposal dinner location, just as we did for Christina and Vahe.

Is the Secret Table completely private?

The Peninsula Paris Secret Table at night with a red-carpet aisle, red rose bushes, candles, and the Eiffel Tower shimmering in the distance.

Yes. The Secret Table offers one of Paris’s most coveted private Eiffel Tower rooftop terraces, alongside venues like Shangri-La.

What sets it apart: You’re proposing at a prestigious Palace hotel, which means exceptional service from the moment you enter, plus a spacious private terrace with unobstructed Eiffel Tower views. No crowds, no interruptions—just you, your partner, and one of the world’s most iconic backdrops.

The Peninsula’s Palace designation ensures the level of discretion and white-glove service that luxury proposals deserve.

Can we have live music on the rooftop?

Yes. Live string instruments (e.g., violin + harp) are approved with advance coordination. We handle all logistics: power setup, optimal placement for acoustics, and detailed cue sheets so your chosen song begins at exactly the right moment.

For Christina and Vahe’s proposal, our violin and harp duo started “Can’t Help Falling in Love” the instant they stepped onto the terrace, then continued with a custom playlist throughout the celebration.

Alternative option: If live musicians aren’t in your budget, we can arrange a curated playlist via high-quality Bluetooth speakers, though the live music experience is truly special for this venue.

What’s the weather plan?

Light drizzle can actually enhance your proposal photos—no harsh shadows, squinting, or unflattering reflections. But we want you to have the experience of a lifetime regardless of conditions.

For full-service planning clients: Our senior planners have the contacts and influence to delay or reschedule entire productions when weather forecasts look problematic.

For heavy downpours, we can sometimes flip to an interior space with Eiffel Tower views within 45 minutes. While you’ll be viewing the tower through windows rather than on the open terrace, you’ll still have that iconic backdrop plus the luxury and service.

Bottom line: Weather rarely ruins proposals when you have experienced planners who prepare for any scenario.

How long is rooftop access?

Proposal only: Plan on a full hour from Peninsula entry, which gives you plenty of time for your proposal, engagement photos while you’re both on Cloud 9, and private terrace time to call family, capture selfies, or enjoy this world-class Eiffel Tower view with chilled champagne.

With a 6-course dinner: After your proposal and initial engagement photos, we flip the terrace and repurpose the gorgeous florals to create a stunning dinner setting. You’ll head to the Peninsula lobby or nearby Arc de Triomphe for additional photos while we transform the space. When you return, you’ll have the terrace for the entire dining experience—with 6 courses and romance, expect a few magical hours.

The Peninsula’s staff coordinates with our timeline so you never feel rushed during either experience.

Can you arrange photography and video?

Yes. We provide experienced English-speaking photographers and videographers through our sister company, which specializes in proposal documentation.

Are drones allowed?

No. The entire metropolitan area of Paris is designated as a strict no-fly zone for drones, both recreational and commercial.

How does arrival work for Secret Table proposals?

Important: You cannot access the Secret Table without Peninsula staff or an on-site coordinator—the elevator requires special authorization. All vendors must also be pre-approved by Peninsula security and use the vendor elevator.

Your arrival depends on which service level you choose:

Day-of coordination: You’ll meet a friendly Peninsula staff member in the lobby who will escort you both to the rooftop together.

Full-service planning: Our dedicated Kiss Me in Paris team member waits downstairs and coordinates with the rooftop team in real-time. This gives you two options:
— Enter together (same as day-of coordination above); or
— Go up alone first under a pretext (quick restroom visit) so you can see her reaction when she enters the beautifully set terrace.

Both approaches maintain the surprise element that makes Secret Table proposals truly special.

What are the payment methods, terms, and policies?

Payment schedule: A 50% retainer secures your date and commissioned services; the remaining balance is due by your event date.

Payment methods: We accept all major credit cards, cryptocurrency payments, cash, and wire transfers. Please allow a few extra days for wire transfers, as they are not instantaneous.

Refund policy: Planning fees, Secret Table rental, luxury transport, floral design, and musicians are non-refundable for any reason. No exceptions. Photography and video services are refundable only when cancelled in writing at least 10 days before your scheduled date.

Questions? Please ask before booking so we can clarify any concerns about our policies.
