A rose trail from Paris to the château
The first knock at the door
While Monica got ready at Hôtel Madame Rêve, a knock at the door brought the first pink rose and a note from Zach. Six notes led her by Rolls-Royce to Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, where the final clue brought her face to face with Zach in the Grand Salon.

The question and the answer
Drones rose above the parterres: a heart, an open ring box, then WILL YOU MARRY ME? Zach knelt and asked her in his own words. She said yes, and the first fireworks answered.
The drones formed “Mi Amor” as Krug Vintage 2008 was poured, then drew two champagne flutes above the château. Monica and Zach raised their own. Together, they pressed the button that launched the second fireworks show.

Dinner in the Salon d’Hercule
Fireworks filled the sky to “Ordinary” by Alex Warren. Afterwards came portraits through the château, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2012 in its Yayoi Kusama edition, and petals from some three hundred roses falling around them.
VT Events prepared dinner for two in the Salon d’Hercule, with two butlers and a live jazz quartet. The evening slowed. After all the signals, departures and reveals, they could sit down together and talk about what had just happened.

The days around the proposal
The proposal belonged to a longer Paris stay we helped arrange: personal shopping before the evening, then engagement portraits and a private Seine cruise afterwards. Monica wore the necklace and bracelet chosen during their time in Paris.
Planning a show around a live proposal
Zach wanted the production to follow what he and Monica were doing: finding each other, asking the question, hearing the answer, raising their glasses. Our proposal planning connected those human moments to the technical show.
Five months of keeping a secret
Zach first contacted us in January for a proposal at the end of June. Planning calls had to fit around the few quiet moments when Monica was not beside him. The local teams were briefed in French, while Chantelle and Nadia kept the preparations moving on Paris time.

Six notes and two separate arrivals
Zach traveled to the château ahead of Monica. We placed his notes and roses, briefed the people greeting her and planned the pace through the rooms. Her driver had a scenic loop available if she ran early. The final note needed to bring her to the right doorway, with Zach already waiting beyond it.
A sky show with room for a real answer
The drone operators, pilots, pyrotechnicians, camera teams and planners worked from one running order. They distinguished programmed sequences from cues that depended on the couple. Some launches could wait for a signal; a sequence already in flight or firing had its own limits.
The first fireworks followed her yes. The second show began with the button they pressed together. Live music came at dinner; the soundtrack through the proposal and fireworks was prepared in advance.

The light and the setting
The full moon was part of Zach’s chosen date, and we planned the garden proposal around the evening light. The drive, rose trail and Grand Salon performance all had to bring the couple outside at the right point in the schedule.
Vaux’s long garden axis gave the drone formations and fireworks a clear setting above the parterres. Private access allowed the team to coordinate the rooms and grounds as one evening, with the venue and specialist operators involved from the beginning.
